Volunteer Opportunities

The Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas is a not-for-profit organization that accepts donor milk from healthy breastfeeding women, pasteurizes the milk, and dispenses it by prescription to premature and sick infants. We need volunteers for a variety of activities.

Job Descriptions

  • Office Assistant - Answer phone, filing , data entry, prepare routine correspondence, log milk, , general office tasks.
  • Pasteurizing Assistant - Volunteers work in teams mixing, pouring, bottling, capping and labeling milk for pasteurization. Involves standing and lifting flasks of milk. We need volunteers at 12:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and at 9:00 am Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Donor Milk Transporter - Transport coolers of milk to area hospitals. Requires drivers license, transportation and auto insurance.
  • Bottle Washer - Wash and remove labels from recycled bottles. Flexible scheduling. You can come and wash bottles at your convenience!  You may also pick up boxes of bottles to wash at home and return to the milk bank.
  • Fundraiser - Help with publications and marketing. Help with grant writing to foundations for ongoing funding.
